SoundPaint ("the App") is a creative drawing app for young children made by Crocolab ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Who We Are

2. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

SoundPaint is designed for children ages 3–5 and is rated 4+ on the App Store. We take children's privacy very seriously.

• We do not collect, transmit, or share personal information about children or adults.
• We do not require account registration or login.
• We do not include advertising of any kind.
• We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
• The App does not connect to any external servers operated by us.

3. Microphone Access

The App requests access to the microphone solely to enable the Voice Brush feature, which turns the child's voice and sounds into colorful brushstrokes on the canvas.

• Audio is processed entirely on the device using Apple's AVFoundation framework.
• Voice recordings are saved only to the device and the user's personal iCloud account (see Section 4).
• Audio is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
• Microphone access can be revoked at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.

4. Data Stored on Device and iCloud

Drawings created in the App — including any associated audio recordings — are stored locally on the device using Apple's SwiftData framework and may be synced to the user's personal iCloud account under their own Apple ID if iCloud sync is enabled on the device.

• This data belongs entirely to the user and is governed by Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy.
• We have no access to data stored in a user's iCloud account.
• Drawings and audio can be deleted at any time by deleting them within the App or by removing the App from the device.

5. Face ID / Biometric Authentication

The App includes an optional Parent Zone feature protected by Face ID or device passcode. This authentication is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. We do not access, store, or transmit biometric data of any kind.

6. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or any contact information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage statistics or analytics
• Crash reports sent to us
• Any data about the child using the App

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following Apple system frameworks only: SwiftUI, SwiftData, AVFoundation, Accelerate, LocalAuthentication. No third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks are included.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any data with third parties — because we do not collect any data in the first place.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

All data (drawings and audio) is stored solely on the user's device or their personal iCloud. To delete all App data:

1. Delete drawings individually within the App, or
2. Delete the App from the device — this removes all locally stored data. iCloud data can be removed via Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted at the same URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
