Local audio and video processing

Audio Cleaner AI removes background noise on your iPhone using DeepFilterNet. The app does not upload your audio, video, file names or file paths to Crocolab or Firebase for processing or analytics. No account is required. Cleaning, preview and export work without an analytics connection. A source stored only in iCloud or another file provider may need to be downloaded through that provider first.

The app stores a local history of up to ten results, including copies of original and processed audio and, for video results, the cleaned video. It also stores your free-use count, review-request timing and interface preferences. Older history entries may be removed when new ones are added. The app keeps a local recovery copy of its history index and settings; it is not a separate cloud backup service. You can delete history entries in Settings. Deleting the app removes its local data, subject to any device backups you manage with Apple. When you choose to share or save a file, the selected destination receives it under that service’s own privacy practices. Sharing may include a caption and a link to this app.

Usage analytics and your control

Usage analytics is enabled by default. You can turn it off at any time under Settings → Share usage statistics, without losing access to any app features. If you previously disabled analytics, that choice is preserved after updating. There is no analytics permission prompt on the home screen.

If enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase receives events such as import, cleaning completion or failure, preview playback thresholds, share-button taps, PRO offer views and purchase outcomes. Event parameters describe categories such as audio/video, cleaning strength, offer source and app version. They do not include recordings, file names, paths or the contents of error messages.

The app uses FirebaseAnalyticsCore, without IDFA collection capability. The Firebase SDK also processes an app-instance identifier and technical information, such as device model, operating system, language, approximate region and app usage. These are usage data, not anonymous counts with no identifiers. We do not set an account user ID. The app disables IDFV collection and advertising personalization signals and does not request advertising tracking permission. Analytics is used to understand reliability, first-use experience and purchase flows, not to upload or analyze your recordings.

Google processes analytics data on its infrastructure, which may be outside your country. Google’s privacy policy and Firebase privacy information explain the service’s processing and retention. Turning analytics off stops future collection and resets the local analytics identifier; it does not automatically delete events already processed by Google. Analytics retention and access are also controlled in the project’s Google Analytics settings.

Retention and privacy requests

Local results remain until you remove them, they are replaced by newer history entries, or app data is removed. Exported files and device backups follow the retention rules of the destination you chose. Analytics data already received by Google follows the retention controls configured for this app in Google Analytics and Google’s applicable service policies. Disabling analytics does not retroactively erase those events.

Contact crocolab.support@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion of information you have provided to us, or to raise a privacy objection. Depending on your location, additional rights and the right to contact a data protection authority may apply. We do not maintain a user account that links your identity to an analytics installation, so we may be unable to identify historical analytics events from an email address alone. We will explain what can be located and acted on without asking you to send recordings. Support correspondence is used to address your request and any necessary follow-up or legal obligations.

Purchases

Apple handles the one-time PRO Forever purchase and payment details. The app uses verified StoreKit transactions to determine access, including restoration and revocation. Crocolab does not receive your payment card details. When analytics is enabled, purchase outcomes are also recorded as usage events.

Photos, purchases and external links

The app asks for add-only Photos access when you save a video. It does not record from the microphone. The app may ask iOS to display its system rating prompt. The separate review link in Settings opens the App Store when you tap it. The app cannot verify whether you posted a review. Opening support, privacy or App Store links connects to the relevant provider under its own policies.

The developer responsible for the app and its data practices is Evgenii Lugovoi, operating under the Crocolab brand in Israel. Contact crocolab.support@gmail.com with privacy or support questions, including requests about your data. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include and use it to respond. Do not send recordings or other sensitive content unless you intend to share them for support.

You can process your files and buy PRO with analytics turned off. You can disable analytics in Settings. Material changes to this policy will be reflected in this document and in the app.
