AI Audio Cleaner

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 1, 2026 · Last updated: June 1, 2026

TL;DR

AI Audio Cleaner runs entirely on your iPhone. We do not collect, store, or transmit your audio files or any personal data to our servers. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party tracking SDKs.

1. Who we are

This app is published by Crocolab, an independent developer operating as a sole individual based in Israel ("we", "us", "our"). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at crocolab.support@gmail.com.

2. What this app does

AI Audio Cleaner is an offline tool that removes background noise from audio files using on-device AI (DeepFilterNet via Core ML). You select an audio file from the Files app, the app processes it locally on your iPhone, and you receive a cleaned file you can save or share.

3. Data we do NOT collect

We do not collect, see, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

The app does not contain any third-party analytics SDKs (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, AppsFlyer, etc.) or advertising SDKs.

4. Data the app stores locally on your device

Everything below is stored only on your iPhone and never leaves your device. It is removed when you delete the app.

Item Where Purpose
Cleaned audio files App's local Documents folder History feature (last 10 cleanups)
Original imported audio files App's local Documents folder Before/After comparison in History
App preferences (color scheme, denoise strength, app icon, onboarding flag) UserDefaults Remember your settings
Usage counter (number of files cleaned this calendar month) UserDefaults Enforce the 5-files-per-month free tier limit
Review prompt timestamps UserDefaults Avoid showing the rating prompt too often
Purchase status (Pro unlock) StoreKit (Apple's system) Determine whether you have the Pro upgrade

You can erase all of this at any time by deleting the app or, for the locally-stored files, by clearing entries from the History screen.

5. Audio processing

All audio processing is performed locally on your iPhone using Apple's CoreML framework and the DeepFilterNet model bundled with the app. Your audio never leaves your device. No internet connection is required for processing.

We do not have, and do not maintain, any server infrastructure that could receive your audio.

6. Third-party services we use

The app uses a small number of Apple-provided system frameworks. These do not transmit your audio content. The full list:

The DeepFilterNet model itself is bundled inside the app at install time. It does not make any network requests.

7. Required-reason API declarations

In accordance with Apple's App Store policy, we declare the following required-reason APIs in our Privacy Manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy):

No other declared categories apply because we do not access file timestamps, disk space, system boot time, or any other restricted APIs.

8. Children's privacy

This app is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect any data from children of any age. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, please contact us — but note that we do not have any mechanism to receive such data, since the app does not transmit user data of any kind.

9. Data security

Because we do not collect or transmit your data, there is nothing on our side that can be breached. All data remains in your iPhone's app sandbox, which is protected by iOS-level encryption and access controls.

10. International transfers

We perform no data transfers because we do not collect data. The DeepFilterNet model and the app code are downloaded from the App Store and installed entirely on your device.

11. Your rights

Because we do not collect or store your personal data, there is no personal data we can grant access to, correct, export, or delete on your request. You retain full control over the audio files and app data on your device through the Files app and through deleting the app.

If your jurisdiction (e.g. EU, UK, California) provides additional consumer rights, those rights still apply by default — they simply do not have a target, because no data exists on our side.

12. Changes to this policy

If we make any material change to this policy, we will update the Last updated date at the top and post the new version at the URL where you found this document. Continued use of the app after the change constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
